Daren Bartlett’s forthcoming documentary feature is immersed in the world of British traveller culture and the sport of sulky racing. The film focuses on brothers, Billy and Joe - both well invested in this form of horse trap racing, which usually takes place on an open road, with supporters following the race in convoy. It is another aspect of traveller culture demonised by the mainstream media. Trot perhaps offers a more balanced approach in documenting and presenting the races/culture from the point of view of the traveller community.
